    trim sticking

I have a Johnson 175 ficht and occasionaly it will stick in the full down trim position while I attempt to trim it up. It sounds like it gets in a bind. Eventually it will begin working correctly. Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Todd

First swap the relays, and try it. If that don't get it then, trim all the way up and check the Trim fluid level. Remove the cap on the resevoir and if fluid comes out upon loosening, tighen back up. Lower motor onto a 2X4 and trim down to contact with the skeg. Loosen the Manual release and run trim up and down 5 full cycles tighten release and trim up and down.

Have you been greasing the tilt tube( the zerts where the steering cable goes). If not, libe it and work it in and lube it again. Do you see any wear marks inside the stern bracket. If you do, does you jack plate have a full flat area to mount the engine to? Does it look like your mounting brackets have moved? Are all the mounting bolts tight? A few things for you to check on.
