Just wondering if anyone put a phase I or II on a 150 carbed motor . I really want to do this but unsure what my returns will be. Its going on a 200 skeeter sx. Right now I can get 60 on a good day with light load 23 M 5900rpm

Ht website says 30 HP with a phase 1, and 45 with a phase 2.![]()
Yep, thats about right. You might have to play around with props and motor height, but 3-5 mph is possible with the Phase I and probably 6-8 mph w/ the Phase II.
Those are definitely good motors to hop-up.![]()
So is a phase II the best thing to do or are there other mods that can give me more HP. I think I'll do the phase II and tinker with the props (B&B) and anything else you can recommend to make this a 70 mph boat. Besides buying another motor.
The Phase II is everything we offer for that model, bolt-on wise. The only other thing you could do is some porting. We can get 10-15 hp out of it by opening up the exhaust ports. Not really an easy modification to do as it involves having the motor completely disassembled and then all the porting done by hand. But, it would get you close to that 70mph mark!
I have a carbed 2.6 with porting and everythnig else putting out 270+ hp. @ 6600rpm
It started out as a carbed 200.
It pushes my 19'3" Gambler 80+
You will probly have to goto the taller geared lower unit and prop work
Hydrotec will hook you up!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
