Yes it will fit, all you need is a stud and nut kit to replace the bolts that hold the lower unit on. And you may need a pitch change on your prop just depends on your rpm's. I just ordered the kit from HydroTec. They will help you with advice and parts.

Will the series II lower also fit a 150vmax? Is it worth a few mph?

No... The 3.1 and 3.3L will swap... Not the 2.6L.

If your currently spinning a merc prop on the efi lu. You will need a different thrust washer than what you're using now.

    Re: l/u help (P-dog)

Only if it rubs the lower unit or zerk fitting. I have run many of Merc props with flo-torq and rubber pressed in hubs. You should run the Merc/yamaha flo-torq hub kit that comes with a thicker thrust washer on the props that have a flo-torq hub.

Thats the whole kit. The washer by itself is almost the same money. If you really need one quickly>> http://www.boats.net/parts/det....html

Isn't that a load! Nearly the same price as the bearing alone. I believe I'll buy that on line. Mike that is the bearing that will fit the HPDI right?
