E-Tec wins the 24 hours of Rouen.

The E-Tecs took 1st and 3rd overall and 1st and 2nd in class. The optimax took second overall.

Not bad for the very first time an E-tec has been raced.

The 24 hours of Rouen is the pinnacle of outboard racing. It is the biggest outboard race on earth. More than 250,000 people watched the E-Tec spank some merc &*^%.

It looks like BRP may be starting to play the performance game again

Brp has been denying any involvment in racing at all but the truth is they are involved. Just how deep is yet to be seen!

E-TEC outboards placed 1st and 3rd overall, and officially finished FIRST and SECOND in their class!

I understand that the 3rd place finisher had fuel tank problems and could have placed higher had it not been for the lengthy pit stop.

These were production motors with the rev limiters removed, mounted on old OMC midsections from their former racing days.

This was not a factory effort, but the hard work and determination of independents.
