yeah, thats all we do when we do the lower unit mod. We just leave the section at the top above the cavitation plate painted. I think it looks kind of cool.

What's the trick to getting the mirror finish?
That would look cool on my rig, but how would it hold up in the brackish water of South LA?
It's a constant chore to keep it looking good. I thought about some kind of clearcoat to prevent it from oxidizing... Some just keep rubbing it with a scotchbrite pad....
