boysen reeds on 98 150 vmax

i have a set of boysen reeds on my 98 150 vmax that i had the dealer install with my new power head . It started idling rough after the break-in i changed plugs brought it back in to get readjusted and the same thing . well im not to worried about the idle and the mid to top-end power is awesome but the thing is i cant just run all the time i have to fish a little so when im riding around looking at the graph i foul plugs like crazy . any suggestions ?

I don't believe the Boysens are your problem. What spark plugs are in the engine? Should be NGK BR8HS-10. Could be synchronization and linkage adjustment along with oil pump adjustment. Sorry it could be many things. The thing about forums is it is hard to troubleshoot without being there!!
