Do the SHO make exhaust simular to a 2 stroke? What I'm getting at is will my over-thru hub props work the same? I would assume it would be simular.

No smoke exhaust :-), but yes, it exhausts via an above water main exhaust port and via the prop, not unlike your Merc. Your Merc Props should be fine. I run a bunch of the Merc props on my 250 SHO, just plug the PVS holes. Use the Yam castle nut with cotter pin though and tighten to 80#s. Yes, the Merc nut will spin on and it SEEMS ok, BUT the threads are not the same spec and it will loosen up on you. Stay with the Yam nut. The SHO has massive torque - have fun.
