What is used to lower oil level in a SHO

I am getting a new boat with 250 SHO, if the motor makes a little oil during break-in, what do people use to take a little out of the engine?

Is there something you put in the dip stick tube to pump oil out?

I want to be prepared just in case.

    Thanks!

I did the same thing and for the same reason. I bought a pump from Northern Tools. They have various models that will pump out from the dip stick. I can not tell you how well it works because I haven't had to use it yet.

If I ever get a SHO I will demand that the pump comes as standard equipment with the motor

    My two cents worth.

The safest way to get gasoline out of your oil sump is to drain the gas/oil mixture out and replace with fresh undiluted oil. These are four strokes and do not have roller bearings like a two stroke. Two stroke oil is designed to mix with gasoline and pass through the crankcase lubricating things. Four stroke oil is not designed to mix with oil. A four stroke is not designed to use an oil/gas mixture in its crankcase.
