    Yamaha Fuel Stabilizer and Conditioner

At the suggestion of my local dealer, I've been running Yamaha's fuel stabilizer/conditioner in my 97' Vmax 150. I've only had the boat for a bit over a month, and have run about 2 tanks of gas through it. Obviously no problems so far.

So I'm about to winterize the boat, and want to fill the tanks. Yamaha's site says that their stabilizer/conditioner will work for up to 12 months which should be fine. Anyone have thoughts on this, is there a better choice to stabilize over the winter with?

Probably would not hurt to also use Stabil original (the pink stuff). The Yamaha product that is combined Ring Free & Fuel Conditioner is what I'm using but I run year round.

I've had great success with Stabil original for long term storage but to be 100% certain, give the Yamaha cust svc line a ring and see what the pros tell you to do so you don't run in to any issues.

Hate that you're putting it up for the winter already....

The Yamaha fuel stabilizer and conditioner plus is a good product..Just remember that the long term storage dose is different from the ongoing use dose.

The instructions on the bottle for more than 2 months says 1 oz per 1 gallon of fuel..run through the engine for a while...top off the tank.
