2003 hpdi fuel issues please help

so i just got my blazer back from the shop just had a used lower unit put on it and decided to do a little fishing today so the boat was running great as usual but after a little bit of fishing i decided to make a run so the motor starts right up and im idling and suddendly the motor shuts off so i crank it back up and make a short run after a little more fishing i decided to make another run so i start it up and try to get on a plain and it spits and sputters and dies so i try to restart and she wont fire so after checking it out i found a bad spot in the fuel line and cut the bad spot out and reattached the line to the primer bulb and squeeze the bulb and it took a long time but finally pressurized so the motor fires up and i get up on a plain and the motors starts spitting and dies again this time the motor wont restart but after about ten minutes of sitting i squeeze the bulb and build up pressure again and the motor will start but it will only run for 30 seconds you can repeat this process over and over again but the motor will only run for 30 seconds and then shuts off so i know im having a fuel pressure problem but i have no idea where to even begin im hoping its something simple like just having to replace the bulb but i have heard they have had problems with the fuel pumps any ideas or thoughts would be awesome i just put 1500 dollars in the boat and now im having problems again so im trying to aviod the dealer so yamaha owners please help

Bad fuel pumps, dirty spark plugs, a clogged fuel filter in the fuel tank, or a leak in the fuel line/system are my guesses. All of these you can do yourself to save some big cash. If it's an '03 and the fuel pumps have never been changed, I'd start there, then if that doesn't work, change the fuel line and bulb from the tank to the engine.
