Re: Is this the correct replacement oil filter for SHO (The Arch)

N26-13440-00-00 is the correct OIL CLEANER ELEMENT ASSEMBLY...

Easy to change. Oil drains into the oil pan so when you remove it there is no mess (with engine level of course). Torque to 13.3 ft/lbs.

That part number matches up with a smaller block four stroke 250 model. It is not the correct one for the SHO. From what I can see the correct filter looks bigger than the one you are talking about.

The one you have may be compatible in some respects but it is not the right one specified for the SHO.

    Go here:

    http://www.simyamaha.com/Yamah...0.htm

    Then here:

    http://www.simyamaha.com/Yamah...0.htm

It looks different..(Maybe the Photo). Either way the Yamaha site has a parts search area. Plug in the SHO and you will see that the "n" model is the one. I would not install anything that did not conform to the Yamaha site's specification. When it comes to this stuff, I always rely on the manufacturer rather than dealer.

Wow he looked it up and said " they should let us know these things" .
I asked about oil and he said it used the reg. Yamaha oil, I said I didn't think so.

This is the four stroke oil designed for the SHO. Read the text under the shipping info:
