    New SHO FXP prop?

I am planning on getting one of the new FXP props when they are available. I need some input. I am now running the 27 T1 that came on my 250 SHO-FX20. I can turn it up to 5500 in this hot weather. I carry a heavy load. Should I go with the 25 or 26 FXP? I am thinking that in the hot weather here in the South that with the 26 I still would not be able to turn enough rpms. The 25 may be the right prop for me. What do you think?

Re: New SHO FXP prop? (bigfish)

I just learned that there are no more of the FXP 25s and none in production. The 26 is what I ordered. I was instructed to raise my motor a little with the 26 and it should get me close to 6000. The prop was very reasonable 370.00 plus a hub kit. I was expecting a little more. I am anxious to get it. I am running 72 to 73 right now with the 27 T1 at 5500 rpms. The 26 should put me right where I want to be when I get the motor at the right height.

I am curious to see how this prop compares to a 26p Fury? On my BassCat Eyra/250SHO in Alabama summer heat at 95° am hitting 6100 plus rpms. I wonder if this prop will be enough for my 1700lb boat.

Steves Custom Props in TX has the 25 and 26 pitch. I just talked to him Yesterday.

I just ordered his last 26, he has 2 more on the way. He told me that he has no more 25s and that there were none in production only 26s.
