    realistic break in procedure for 225 yamaha sho !?!

    questions for anyone with advice . what to look out for what to keep in mind thanks in advance

    Just do it like the owners manual says...if you don't and have problems the dealer can hook it up to there computer and read the RPM's

    can i do the first hour of 2000 rpm and then stop for while and then do the 2nd hour and stop for a while and then do the nxt 8 hours over time or does it have to be done all in one whole procedure with out any idling or fishing in between ? and i have heard of the increase in oil level i saaume thts due to fuel intering crankcase should i stop and check it periodically during the break in procedure ? thanks for the help

    With my 250 SHO last year I put in the first 2 hrs. in one boring session around the 500 acre lake next to my house. The next 8 hours were put on in normal fishing situations just heeding the break in procedure in the manual. I was happy when I got to 10 hours on the hours meter and could drive it normal balls to the wall. Larry Brumley

    yes you can break it in at will over time, and you better be checking your oil level and consult your dealer if it starts getting out of hand
