Goodbye ox66 Yamaha....

....my 2001 Yamaha ox66 went "kaboom" today during the first BFL of the year. Was about 6 miles from the check-in around 11:30am with 13lbs in the boat and lost RPMs and hear a loud knocking sound and then it slowly died. Luckily a fellow BBC member happened to come by just at the right time, spent the next nealry 2 hours towing us back and was able to weigh my fish. Took the cowling off and there are metal shavings and chunks of metal everywhere. Haven't found a hole but there is a lot of metal and several big chunks inside.

That sucks!! I know the feeling i went through the same thing last fall

Check out Hydro Tec because when i purchased my replacement hpdi off them i struck a deal to send them my old 225 which they've since rebuilt with a new block.
