    interface cablehttp://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif

I've purchase an interface cable for my 06 200hp HPDI so I can connect to my Lowrance HDS unit and monitor motor functions...can't locate the plug on the motor to hook the interface cable up too?? Anyone hooked this up before?? Lowrance (LEI Extras) assured me it would work with my HPDI...Thanks...SwampShark

There is a white plug just to the front of the number 3 cylinder. If you do a search you should find pic and lots of info on the subject.

    You anywhere near Swamp Rd?

On my 175 it was at the bottom of cowling on stbd side, not much slack in cable. Very well hidden and not much room. I almost gave up trying to find it.

Let mikeky said. It is on the drivers side laying down in the bottom of the cowling near your shift/gas feed cables. It is white with a service plug in the end of it you will just pull it out and plug your interface cable into. Like said, there is not allot of extra cable slack in it, but you can get the interface cable hooked to it by using a few choice words.

Shoot, mine was right up easy to find and get to. No choice words had to be used on that but on a lot of other parts!

Yea Yamaha decided that was to easy for us laymen, so they put it where it was hard to find and get too.

Hardest part of the install for me was finding the dang plug . That cable is money well spent IMO. I like being able to monitor engine hours and temp. Also have the GPH reading on my screen to remind me to pick my foot up when I am not in a tourny.

That should be standard when you buy a new boat and motor but most of the dealers don't have a clue about the interface cable from Lowrance.
