dead spot at first gas

Need help solving the dead spot I have on my 2004 225 vmax 3.1 motor is good except for when I first give it gas to take off. there seems to be a pretty good dead spot. Once it gets up to about 2500-3000 rpms it takes off great. Also I have noticed the last couple times I took it out that it died at idle. Any help with this would be appreciated

Checked the Spark Plugs? Mine gum up sometimes

Thanks. I will check them. Do you happen to know what the gap setting is supposed to be if I happen to need to replace them. Thanks for the info

Had the same thing with my 200 OX66...Adjusted the HotFoot and problem solved.

Might need a TPS adjustment.

Thanks for the input guys. I will check these things this weekend. The TP sensor I will probably have to take to someone due to I have zero experience with this.
