I would like to connect my F150 to my HDS8.
Is it possible with a 2004 and if yes what do I need?
Thank you

Pretty sure I'm in the Yamaha motor section.
Thanks for you're excellent answer and have a nice day.![]()
I have the lowrance NMEA 2000 on my 2005 HPDI and have helped a little with others. Now for the (Ford) that you have I really do not have an answer for you. If you do a search on this board there are some pic of the connector that is needed to connect. You will then have to find the connector on your motor.
I know that the F150 is compatible but I am not sure that a 2004 year model is.
If it is this is the cable that you will need. 120-37 Yamaha Adapter Cable-RD.
Also if you go to the Lowrance/Garmin Sonar/GPS board here on the BBC there is a lot of info there with pic on how to set up a NMEA 2000 network. You will want to use the red connectors with the HDS8.
I thought the HPDIs were the only ones that could be connected....![]()
