Power Trim/Tilt Fluid

Purchased a bottle of trim fluid, unscrewed the reservoir cap.......sat there trying to figure out how in the hell am I going to get fluid in that small little hole...especially since it sits horizontal? Do you guys use a "special tool for this? I've been told the level of fluid should be measured to the bottom of the threads. Tried shining a small flashlight, but can't see anything.

I have a plastic "hypodermic type" syringe. Walmart has them, well at least that's where I got it a few years ago.
