I am having an idle problem with an otherwise very great running 1997 Yamaha 150.
It started about when I removed a bad cable operated fuel tank selection valve on a Sprint boat and put a brass tee in it's place.
I also replaced all the fuel lines and bulb w/ alcohol rated fuel lines.

The motor will spit and sputter at idle and die if I dont bump the choke or fast idle it up.

It runs absolutely great on plane.

Question, is the fuel level in the fuel filter supposed to stay full or is it normal to see it go down to about half while at idle.
I can squeeze the bulb and it will fill up but within 60 sec, it will draw down to about half.

Thanks in advance for any help.
