I have a question for you guys running Yamaha HPDI's. I run a 200 HPDI and every year when the water gets hot (Power Plant Lake - Fayette County) my water pressure gets low, at idle and while running. The water temp at the discharge is around 110 and 97.5 in general. Because of my summer low WP, I added a Yamaha engine interface that allows me to display engine temp, rpm etc graphically via the Lowrance unit. My engine runs at 125 most of the year, but I noticed it was running at 140 and heats up to 150 when I turn it off while fishing. The pump is one year old, as I changed it out last year and the year before that as well, due to the same problem. My question is: Have any of you Yamaha HPDI owners noticed a loss in water pressure during the summer months while fishing hot water discharge lakes? Also, does anyone know if 135 - 140 is too hot for a Yamaha? Hot horn has not gone off. Thanks
