Hello Fellow Evinrude fans and E-tec afficianados,
I have a brand new 40 horse sitting in the garage waiting for a bit warmer weather and then we will take it out for a "first spin". This motor replaces an old 1993 'Rude that had a rope pull and manual tilt. Now I feel like I have jumped into a time warp and am in the future with the high tech-y-ness of the E-tec.
I am currently installing a transom saver, but have a couple of questions:
1) What is the best position that the motor should be in while trailering? I currently have it half way between up and down.
2) Is there a place on the motor where the transom saver should touch the motor? Is there a place where I should not be making this connection?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
