Installing trim on steering wheel. Need a little help!

I would appreciate a little help. I have a 225 HPDI Yamaha on an '06 Ranger Z20. I am installing a blinker trim lever on my steering wheel and have gotten it mounted on the wheel just fine but I can't quite figure out how to get to the wiring for the trim switch. I took just about everything apart at the throttle, all the trim, etc. but could not figure out exactly how/where it should be wired...hope someone can help!
    Thanks,
    Gary

3 chioces I'd use. You could splice into the wires behind the shift handle, you could splice into the wires running up front to the switch up there (if they're on the side instead of in the bilge), or you'll have to run wires back throught the rigging on the engine and splice into the one on the lower cowling. I'd recommend the wires from up front first if they're on the side, the wires from the shifter second, then running crap all the way back through the rigging and into the cowling. Should be able to splice directly into the wires...use pig tails so you can unhook it if you put it together backwards.

We sold Ranger for a while and I have rigged my share. If memory serves me right, there should be wire already under the console for trim. The may be tied up where the wires come out of the hole in the side and under the console. There should be a red, green, and blue wire. Red is power, blue is up, and green is down. Hook the trip wires to the wires from the blinker trim, as colors will match and you will be good to go.

You'll find the three wires up under the dash somewhere. I just put blinker trim on my Cobra. The problem I had was that a previous owner had changed the wire colors coming from the control. I ended up finding the wires that went to the front trim switch and spliced into them.

All yamaha wiring harnesses I've seen have aux. trim wires for a console/wheel mounted trim switch.
