    Cost of Replacing Gears

I had the pinion gear go out on my 2002 250 OX66. I just got quoted as $940 new gears, installed with new seals and bearings/races ect. Does that sound like a reasonable price?

I know for vehicles, thats about on par for regearing an axle, but I don't know a thing about boat gears.

    What do you guys think?
