I have a group 24 with 1,000 CCAs, I think. It's an interstate XHD model and it's over five years old.
The key to longevity is keeping it full of water and charging it after your trips.
would that be a cranking or dual purpose battery?
Definitely go with a 27 class battery. I have the Delco voyager and haven't had any issues with it. You WILL end up having issues with a 24 holding enough charge to run your electronics and livewells all day
Well then I suggest you get a 27 class battery too. Don't waste your money on a 24. Get a 27 and never worry again

I've never "worried". It's been flawless. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'll stick with the group 24 extra heavy duty. It works for me, and that's all that matters.![]()
