There are a few posts on here that show an installation. Basically track the fuel line from the bulb and make your cut. Most people are attaching it in the same area where the oil container and batteries sit. Several people have made a mount added to the oil container bracket.

buy a racor!
500hrs or 5 years between filter changes
yami is 100hrs or 2 year
also it makes no sense if you cannot see water in the filter!
racor has a clear bowl
Mine shut down on me while on the water. After i changed all the filters i installed one.If you look at what the price of filters cost these days you will find the 10 micron system is CHEAP ! on sale or not.I would also use fuel additive on a regular basis.![]()

Does it matter which side of the filter that you install the primer bulb on? Tank side or motor side.

Is the Racor rated to 10 mc? (I'm asking because I don't know.) I know they're good, but I ask because, as you know, Yamaha specifically calls for 10 mc for the sake of the injectors.

As for installation, very simple. The hard part was finding a place to mount mine. I had to get my BIL to weld me a bracket. Worked out great. For parts needed, you will need the fuel hose, hose fittings, hose clamps & the "yellow" teflon tape. That should be it. Also after you install everything fill the filter up with gas then put it on. Lot easier than pumping the bulb.![]()

That bracket rocks! I noticed it the last time you posted that pic. You could mount twin 250's and a Power Pole on that thing!![]()

Mine is set up....fuel tanks, fuel/water seperator, priming bulb, and then to the engine.
That's the way it came installed from the factory. I'm not sure if it has to be that way, for some reason?
Thanks for all the answers. Was having trouble finding a mounting place that the existing hoses would work back. Had to move charger and battery switch. Finally got it mounted and was worried which side to put bulb on.

I installed my between the bulb and the engine. Easy job and helps me sleep better. I got he Moeller with the clear bowl on the bottom at academy and it is a 10 micron. Engine runs fine with no fuel restriction. It is cheap insurance with all the garbage fuel with the alcohol.

YELLOW TEPHLON
gas resistant
please guys, do not use it
reason is once you use it it sticks to outside threads, so next time it will end up in lines
i know regulations says 3 threads away from end
use pipe dope or gasoila.com
I have seen more problems with tape than dope
funny me and my buddy talked about it last night!
