    Which Quicksilver Oil?

I normally run Yamalube, but I had to buy some quicksilver last weekend. Wal-Mart had "Quicksilver Synthetic Blend". Acadamy had 2 and the more expensive one was "Quicksilver Premium". The "Synthetic Blend" says for High HP and DFI outboards on the back.

Which oil is the one to run in an HPDI? Is the Synthetic blend the same as the DFI oil? What is Premium Plus? Is it a full synthetic?

If I am going to start running Quicksilver, which one should I run?

    Thanks

    Re: Which Quicksilver Oil? (Pacer)

I buy the less expensive of the quicksilver from Academy.I've been using that brand for over 13 yrs and different boats. The main reason for me is you can find
Quicksilver almost everywhere so i have never had to worry about having to use another brand. As for the others i cant tell you which one you are required to use, only what i 've been doing with NO problems.

that is why I want to switch to Quicksilver, because it is easy to find.

I know that any high quality 2 stroke oil will lubricate an engine. What I want to know is which one is made to use in a direct injection motor so that it won't carbon up the cylinders. Using Yamalube, my spark plugs always looked really bad. I don't want to switch to something that will gum it up even worse.

    Thanks

Along with Quicksilver i also add Seafoam in my fuel tank to keep the carbon down. Some others run Ringfree but you should use something for sure.

I have a 225efi phase II and I run the premium plus oil. I ask my dealer before I changed over from yamlube and they said it was just as good. I have ran about 30 gallons of it so far with no problems.

Where do you find Premuim Plus? Is it a full synthetic, or a synthetic blend?

    Thanks

When you were in Academy you should have seen both brands of Quicksilver, one has a black label and the other a red label but i'm not sure if either are full Syn oil's.Like i said i run the less expensive because you cant find the other as easy including around where you live. The Exxon across the street from the hospital
in Morgan City sells it and i've bought there several times but its about 3 bucks less at Academy..

The premium plus is a Syn Blend.
