Re: Need help winterizing HPDI 225 (a 5 basslimit)

I live in eastern Ontario and the boat is in storage from about November through till April...

I've also got to do my 05' 225 HPDI over the coming weeks and this is what i had planned on doing: (hopefully someone can correct any mistakes)

    - Treat the gas with stabil and run through the engine (Done although using sea foam all the time anyway)
    - Replace Water seperator filter (Done)
    - Replace Lower Unit Gear oil
    - Replace fuel filter inside motor
    - Replace 'Yellow' High pressue fuel filter inside vapor canister
    - Drain vapor canister
    - Spray fogging oil into each cylinder then crank engine with kill switch off
    - Run plumbing anti-freeze through livewell pumps and bilge pumps
    - Drain water pressue hose of any water

    - Replace spark plugs after 1st trip in spring... damn it's a long way off

That's all i can think of right now. am i missing anything or doing anything wrong?

One thing I do, that not alot of people do, and I have no idea why not is:

Drain/siphon the gass tank/tanks as much as you can. Then add about 6 oz of Seafoam in each one(6 oz. is overkill, but what the hek ), to keep what gas is left, if any at all, from going bad.
Then, come spring, you add "fresh/new" gas, and you're ready to go, with no woories of having old/bad gas!
