Has anyone noticed excessive engine movement when running even in light chop. I'm running a 2005 225 HPDI and the engine bounces alot when driving. I checked the mounting bolts from the engine to the jack plate and from the jack plate to the transom, all are tight. Do I need to replace the motor mounts or is this a normal condition? I appreciate your opinions.

The engine has maybe 2 inches of movement up and down. Not only can you see it but you feel it through the hull and on deceleration.
Definately doesn't sound good. Two inches of movement seems like a lot to me. I'd suggest getting it all checked by a mechanic.
I had a similar problem... It was my trim tube bushings gone bad. I replaced them and all is tight again.

i have a 05 skeeter with 175 hpdi and it does the same thing until you trim it up pretty high when your just cruising.it nothing real bad it just kind of shakes till you trim it on up
