08 Series 2 Problems

I have a new Series 2, and it is without a doubt a great outboard. I wanted to check and see if any of you have had a problem with the motor moving everywhere when trailering? I have now gone through three transom savers within the past year becasue it bounces so bad while im on the road? Maybe a bad bushing or something? Thanks for your help -Adam

1st off...Welcome to the BBC.
Are you breaking the aluminum square tubing on the transom savers from the engine turning side-to-side, or what? If that's the case you can buy a set of stabilizer slips that you install on the steering cylinders while towing.
I use the ones made by pro-rule, and they cost about $10 + shipping. They will eliminate the engine moving side-to-side. If it's moving up & down, I don't really know what you need to look at. I'm sure others will be along with more input soon.

Here is a link to pro-rule. Someone else makes a similar device, except out of a rubber type material. I have not seen them, but hear that they work well also. I think they cost pretty much the same too....Just FYI

I just did that the other day I took off the clip from my 202zx and put them on the I Class but I'm using the transom saver that came with the I Class instead of the my wedge I have because it seens to make the top house cap on the trim come lose on the ZX well to make a long story short I was in a hurry to get the boat in the water I was 1 hr late allready and pulled the transom saver off and forgot about the clips well then the sterring was a bit*h as I was moving to the dock and my trim was reading full now I'm thinking WTF and I remenber about the clips

well I had to replace the trim deal and my clips look a little used now also
