would like to thank everyone for the great info, I was experiencing low water pressure on my 07 225. removed the poppet valve and there was some large grains of sand keeping it open. not the easiest thing to get to. thanks again

Too bad you did not put in the new mushroom style that prevents future clogging... I did it as well. Tough job for one person. Maybe yours already had that one in it?

2007's should have the newer mushroom style valve. I remember when I updated mine and replaced the gasket, that was not easy to do.

The hardest part is getting the gasket and cover back on. Not a lot of room and gasket will keep falling when trying to push the screws through. All in all though it was only a one hour job for me.
It took me about an hour with my fat fingers, it looked like the valve was the newer mushroom style. luckly the gasket stayed in place and did not tear.
where is this poppet valve located at on my 04 250 HPDI? I may need to check mine.
What was your pressure before cleaning the poppet?
