Any suggestions on where to start looking to fix this myself? Could something be clogged? Water is coming out with a strong stream but the guage is stuck on 22psi.

Could the line be pinched? Or should the line be good and only need the guage itself?
My bet is just a bad gauge.

Where would the best place to get the gauge be?? I am having trouble finding the same one. It is a Pro Red series with the grey bezzle and needle.
What brand gauge is it? E-bay is a good place to look sometimes.

It is the Faria Pro Red Model with the grey bezzle and grey pointer.
Sending it back to Faria...$15 under warranty, even though it is a 98 model..They said they will fix it or replace it. That is a pretty good warranty. Lifetime limited warranty.
How do you test to see if it's the guage or a hole in the line?
Do you blow air through the line and watch the guage?
I sent a wp gauge and my tach back to Faria. One week turn around, good as new. That was about three months ago. My wife told me this week they have not deposited the check yet.

I had one that froze and i took it out and used a pair of needle nose pliers to move the needlel back to zero and it worked fine.
How do these freeze? It doesnt actually have water flowing to the guage. Once you attach the hose on both ends the line is all air. When you start the engine the system builds pressure and pushes water up this hose until max pressure for the rpms is reached. The hose is air locked with the air being pushed towards the guage which moves the needle. Water should not get to the needle itself unless air is being purged out the guage somehow. Or you pulled the line off while running and let water get to the end then plugged it back in. I could be wrong, I usually am about most things, just ask my wife.
My gauge doesn't start working until about half throttle and it seems to be inaccurate. I took the hose off at the gauge and you get a strong stream but with lots of air and bubbles mixed in. Is this normal or am I taking in air somewhere maybe?
I just bought a new water pressure gauage from ebay and the new guage needle is way below the zero. When I run my motor, it's a 1988 ProV150, the guage moves to about the zero mark. Is there some type of adjustment to get the needle to start at zero?
Thanks,
Dave
