    Idle screw

just curious if there is a screw on my 150 pro v. I used to have a merc and there was screw that I could turn to increase my idle. In a related problem when I give it full throttle the motor seems to cough..almost as though its searching for gas...I am going to change the plugs and possibly the fuel filter what else could it be?

    Re: Idle screw (sktrsrule)

First question answered...yes, there is a screw. Look on the starboard side of the engine. I think my old proV adjusting screw had a rubber tip (bumper) on it.

You could need a carb rebuild and a link & sync. When was the last time the fuel pumps were replaced?

The screw is on the drivers side and the star is facing up. I think it's the only screw w/o a bumper on it thats on the linkage...
