    225 HPDI missing at high RPM

    Just breaking in my new 225 VMax HPDI S2 and it started to develop a condition where is skips a beat or two just for a split second anywhere above 4800 RPM then keeps going. Started at around 4 hours and got a little more prevalent now at 5 hours it happens about 30-40% of runs above 4800 but not every time??

    Primer bulb seems OK.

    My 250 HPDI started doing this. New plugs and a shock treatment with ring free and I was back to normal.

    You had to shock treat a brand new engine and change the plugs???

    That seems strange.

    If it were an EFI I would say diaphrams but its a HPDI. Take it to the dealer and have them hook it up to the computer.

    have the dealer check the high pressure fuel pumps, I bet that's the issue...

    wait a sec, you said new Series 2 motor, then I have no idea...

    have them hook the dyno up and check the TPI (throttle position indicator) Had same problem with mine and the the TPI was just a tad off.
