    O2 sensor

Why does the O2 sensor on my 03 225 OX66 need to be cleaned every 20 to 30 hrs?
I use ring free with every fill up and only burn Chevron Gas I just had a new one installed last summer the old one bit the dust.

Does it use an excessive amount of oil? you may need to adjust the oil pump linkage. I cleaned my o2 about 3 years ago. I have checked it 3 times since and it has been clean everytime. I run seafoam or ringfree in every tank..

    Re: O2 sensor (Liplander)

What are the symptoms of a dirty O2 sensor? I have only approx 88 hours on motor. It had 42 when I bought it a year ago. Wanting to know if I need to change it. Thanks.

Dont run anything higher than 89 octane, dealer and a bunch of BBCERS told me that and have had no problems since.

Because you are using Ringfree. Clean the sensor and start using SeaFoam. I also tried RIngfree and IMHO, it is junk compared to SeaFoam. I have never had another O2 sensor problem since I started using the Seafoam.
