they are on the block, look like a small heat sink
to test is very easy
got a hand held volt meter?
Basically, the rectifier converts AC current to DC current. If the batteries are charging at 13.5 volts, then you have checked the system.
Isn't there a portion or wire coming off of it that feeds the tach?
Which wire is it and what should the reading be?
No it isn't. Seems to be charging but tach won't work. I already replaced the tach.
clean the ground on the tach first
check all connections
