    Mounting Fuel/Water Separator Filter Base

I have a 01 zx225 that I am needing to put a water separator filter on. It has 4 batteries and the oil tank in the rear. Where is there enough room to mount the base for a 90 gph filter? I may be overlooking it but with the compartment full of batteries I can't find a spot.

You may have to get creative but most I think are mounted on the inside wall of the transom. You might try asking in the skeeter ? forum

Yamaha sell two different filter lengths for the same diameter filter base. If space is an issue. Should be standard rigging for all Yams

The mini 10 and the longer filter (90 gph)do not fit the same size base. I just ran into this problem last week.

Mini 10 won't handle the amount of fuel needed for a 225.......

Sorry, was at HT yesterday, they had two different lengths for the same base according to parts department. Bought the longer one as it's a direct replacement for the one I have. Didn't know there was a diff diameter.

Check the side of the can for gph rating. The longer one (blue) is 90 gph, with 10 micron filtration. Didn't open the box on the shorter white can. You certainly don't want a lean condition.

    Re: (shortcast)

For some reason i think that they have the 90 gph and the 60 gph. The 60 is the smaller of the two but it's not the "mini" either. Someone correct me on that if it's not right.
