1994 Yamaha 115. I have trim fluid around the top of the trim cylinder. What does it usually run to have these rebuilt?

Looks like nobody has ever paid to get it done. Me, I've never had the need to fix one, and I hope I never do.
I had to have a trim unit pretty much fully rebuilt for my 225Vmax. Very painful, something like $800+... Hopefully, you will need a much smaller repair.
I payed about 450.00 to have mine done 7 months ago

$450 for a cap and O-ring? I'm in the wrong buisness. Can I put tranny fluid in it or do I have to use trim fluid? I need to raise it up at least to move it. If most of the cost is labor I can probably do it myself. It is just leaking at the top of the big cylinder. Small trim cylinders seem to be fine.
Cool. I'll just get trim fluid then. I already have the ATF and thought it would work but if you don't recommend mixing then I won't.
I have the trim cylinder seperated from the motor. How do I get the piece that connects to the top of the motor off? If I that the cap off the cylinder will I be able to change the seal without taking the "knob" off the top of the ram?
