Trim gauge does not go all the way down

    Hello,

I have a Yamaha 200 VMAX and I've recently noticed that the trim gauge does not go all the way down. It seems to work fine going up but when you bring the trim all the way back down the gauge is a little off.

Is there an easy adjustment on the motor??????

Yes... Most likly the plastic piece is cracked. Look for a phillips head screw on the front of the motor near the steering cables/hoses. Search trim on this yamaha page. There are pics and part numbers for a new one.... $2-$3 bucks for a new one if needed.

It may just need adjusting.... Trim your motor all the way down, Loosen the screw and move the plastic circle piece untill it reads all the way down and tighten up the screw there...
