Sheared prop shaft.

Last night we were fishing a tourney and took off to move in 45 feet of water. Got on plane and then the boat lost power. I was shocked to find I had no prop or shaft. Minnkota got us 2 miles to the ramp. That was a 25 T-1 B&B by Mark that went to the bottom. Is this rare and is it warranty under the YES program? The motor is a 2004 250 HPDI. Thanks.

I have had the same thing happen. I have also seen it with some gearcases on the tournament trail. I would try to get YES to pay and if not them call Yamaha Customer Relations.

Yamaha is the best!! They are putting on a new lower unit and new prop.
