    water psi

Hi guys, can someone help me out here? I have a 150 vmax (carb) yesterday i notice

my water psi was next to 10 while i was running. I have not moved any thing or added.

I made sure that my trim was not to high. Most of the time my water psi is 15 to 16.

I have checked the water intake on the L.U they were fine, any ideas ? Thanks in advance

    Re: water psi (blueblaze)

You might need a new water pump impellor. Mine did the same thing, so I changed the impellor and my psi went back to normal.

I have been told that if you use the boat alot you should have it done yearly.

    Re: water psi (blueblaze)

I had the same thing happen this weekend. I was told by my mechanic that running ten is acceptable, but anything under is not and I should come back in if I drop below. I just replaced the impellar in March and have only put about 10hrs on since. I have a feeling the the hot weather may effect the pressure. What do you guys think.

    Thanks

hot water does affect the PSI. the thermostats are going to open more creating less pressure but more volume.
