    Hole Shot Help 250 HPDI

With the warmer weather, and heavy tournament load, my hole shot is really suffering. I have a 27 T1 and a 25T1, which work great with a lighter load. How can I increase my hole shot when carrying a heavy load? (Bass Cat Cougar) Should I drop down to a 27M to compensate for the load, or should I try a 4 blade prop? I'll continue to run the T1's for top end, but need something when I know I'll be carrying more weight.

How many RPMs are you turning on the top end right now with the warmer weather and a heavy load?

I went to a Tempest Plus and I am running within .5 mph of my T1 on a light load and can carry the load very well without much drop off...It is about 1 mph faster than the T1 loaded... The T1 seemed to drop off in the heat and with a heavy load a lot more...It also has the best holeshot of anything I have tried...In the last month, I have tried a VMX, TXP, Tempest Plus, Trophy Plus and T1 and the Tempest is my bast all around choice...

What size tempest? You're right, the T1 really bogs down in the hot weather. Have you tried any 4 blades? I have a 27 VMX which ran great in the spring, but it can't carry a load.

Thanks. I'll give a tempest a try. Were you able to run the flo torq with the factory thrust washer, or did you need a different one?

You'll need the 12-853948 thrust washer.

I just put a 27 Trophy on mine the other day. It does well with a light load but with weight its not so good. I think it is the Cougar that does not like the weight. Mine doesn't at least.
