I use one and I think there are others here that use them. I have not had/seen any problems with mine.

Re: anyone using tramsom saver called my-wedge (kymike)

I used one on a 225 HPDI, then went back to the transom saver. The M-Y wedge didn't get the skeg up high enough off the ground for my comfort. Its not a huge investment so if it doesn't work out, you're not out a ton of money. I sold mine very quickly so there's always someone else that may want to give it a shot.

I have been using it for a while, would recommend also to use clips on the steering rams to keep the motor straight. It does tend to let the motor swing on winding roads.

Do you guys that use them use 1 or two rams?

    thanks

Just one... There is a zerk fitting that will hit it on the other side. Having hyd steering the motor may turn a very little in a long drive,But in no way will it flop around in turns.
