    new Yamaha HPDI 250

    I just ordered a new z21 with a Yamaha HPDI 250.. Buy the time I take delivery on this boat our lakes here in Mn will be frozen over... When I get the boat will I still need to winterize a new motor or can I just park it till spring?

    If your Dealer does a proper rigging, they will need to run the engine to bleed the oil system (unless they broke it in for you), so I would recommend doing some method of winterizing. I typically remove my plugs and spray the cylinders with fogging oil and replace the plugs, fill the oil/fuel tanks. I leave my batteries in the boat and charge them every couple weeks with the onboard charger. However, I do keep my boat in the garage all winter, so it's not like it sits out in the extreme cold. Hope to see some pics over on the Skeeter Board when you get her. Congrats on your new rig.
