Does anyone have an HP180 with HPDI 150 with jackplate? What is you pad height? RPM? MPH?

I don't have a G3... But I would start at 4" below pad... Move it up 1/2" at a time until you loose water pressure, or your RPMs increase with out any more speed. The max RPMs on that motor is 6000. The rev limiter should kick in around 6100-6200. Once you get to either of the above points, back it DOWN 1/4" and you should have it pretty close. Which prop do you have?
Are their instructions on how to measure pad height? I think I know but not sure?
Yes. Look in the "Props" forum. It is pinned at the top.
I had an HP180 with F150 on 6" jackplate. I found best performance for my rig was to have the prop shaft 3.5" below pad. Loaded, it ran 58-59 GPS.
Good luck, just play with the height and see what happens. I've found that every boat varies a little. Good luck.

Or you could probably turn a 24 tempest. You need to turn 5900-6100 and you are not going to do it with a 25. Especially in this heat!
In yamaha 150's. I think the HPDI and the fourstroke run pretty close to each other.
Was running a 21 P Yamaha Pro SS prop with the F150.
I went to a trophy 24p - 4 blade. Really lifted the stern - no porposing with two guys, full gas and live well. Also steering is much better not near as much torq
at wot. Trim it down, cut the wheel and it pulls thru the turn like its on rails. Gained 300 rpm over 25m.
HP180 - vmax 150 carb
No jack plate - I didn't want to give up my warranty.

Where are you getting 21p?
I adjusted my plate to 4" below pad which is all the way up. to go anymore would require rebolting the motor to the jackplate. Going to take it out tomorrow for testing, I am running a yamaha 23" SS prop. Well let you know results.
Sorry, been away and just saw your question. GPS 59 with the Pro 21 SS on
HP 180 with F150 with prop shaft 3.5" below pad.

Does your actually sit up on the pad like a fiberglass at full speed?
