Tilt is stuck on my 150 Yamaha

My tilt/trim switch does not move the motor up or down on my 150 HP Yamaha (1997). I can hear the motor running but nothing happens. I have consulted my manual and cannot locate where you add fluid. Could this be my problem. Boat is at the Lake of the Ozarks - anyone know a good service place? Anyone else experienced this problem ?

sorry, i just read your post after replying to that other thread, if you can hear the motor running you do not have a power problem obviously, just do like i said with the manual valve and you will be able to see where to add fluid with the motor up.

have you tried tapping the trim motor with a small hammer,i had one go bad on me and eventually replaced it but had about 4 more trips by tapping it to make it work.
