Luke, I have a buddy that has a 200 (3.3) and so far so good.

As far as I know that problem was fixed via upgrades that yamaha had sent out to the dealers but don't quote me on that.

As long as you have a Racor fuel/water separator filter installed on the boat as part of the rigging package you won't have any problems. Most of the fuel related problems were on boats where the original rigger was too damn cheap to install a Racor, and trash and water from the new fuel tanks got through to the motor. If your boat doesn't come with one when you go to pick it up don't even take it off the lot. Have the dealer install a Racor or the Yamaha/Racor before you'll accept the boat.

Luke .. congrats on the new ride .. last time my boat was in the shop for some problems running rough ... Yamaha footed the bill and the dealer installed a nice fuel filter like the ones shown here .... just FYI ..

Super Dave, those are the water sensor wires. Works with the Yamaha FMS system to give an alarm if there's water building up in the filter bowl. If you don´t have the Yamaha fuel flow gauge you don't need it.
