Ok fellows see if anybody can answer this, A couple of weeks back i had an incident with submerged object, destroyed the lower unit and prop on my Vmax,THANK GOD FOR INSURANCE, Anyway after my unit and prop came in from YAMAHA it was not the dark blue it was lite gray and small square blocks molded into where all the installation bolts go, the prop is a 25m like i had before. but the crazy part is after i picked it up from the shop i took for a little test run i gained 8 mph and 600 rpms, at best all i could get before was about 67 on my gps and 5600 rpms, my mechanic could"nt understand it either so he went with me back to lake and ran it and he said that was the craziest thing he"d ever seen, we are both stratching our heads, take in mind im not complaining i"ve been trying to get more out of it for years,but i"ve never see this before with just a lower unit change and prop change and my mechanic said he has"nt either and he"s got over 25 years under his belt working on these things, All these parts came straight from YAMAHA and are supposed the exact parts, anybody got any answers , GOT ME STUMPED
