Mercury Optimax alarm - I've tried all the manual says - help

I have a 2004 Optimax 150 hp emitting a 4 beep alarm every 2 minutes. I've changed the fuel filter, filled the oil reservoirs, bled the air from the oil reservoir under the cowl, I flushed the water journals too...still getting the alarm...any ideas on what to try next?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Welcome to BBC!

I would recommend that you get the engine on the Computer Diagnostic System, and have PRINTOUTS of the following done:

    -Run History
    -Freeze Frame (Fault) History

Information in these reports will indicate the precise fault that is occurring.... leading to a more accurate diagnosis of the problem.

try checking that dahm float in the engine mounted oil reservoir. I had the same alarm and the smart guage was telling me low oil.....oil was full but the float wasn't floating. New tank and a couple hours later and all is good!
