    DF140 vs DF150

I am nearing ready to purchase the Xpress H18PFC and wanted to rig it with the DF150 but it is $1200 more than the 140. Wondering how much top end speed I would lose by going with the lesser horsepower. I have been told that the 150 will push this boat right at 60mph.
    Would appreciate any input.

    Re: DF140 vs DF150 (elielese)

I have an '05 140 on a Triton 186 magnum aluminum. I run about 45 mph wot w/ a full fat guy load and all the un-used gear. The general design and weight are pretty similar to the Xpress with one big exception.........the express hull is designed to be alot faster. For me, I never needed to go 60 mph as most of our lakes are not that big so I opted to save the cash. When I was in TX and had to make big runs I would have liked the 150. Doesn't really matter which one you go with because you will be one happy camper either way and save a little money to buy different props because they are not the easiest to prop for performance. Good luck and let 'er rip!
