Little help on 1998/1999 200 HP Exante

I bought this Storm and the motor has about 35 hours on it , we drained the oil in reservoir cleaned it out, drained gas tank made sure fresh gas is in the tank and it turns but won't seem to fire up. Mechanic said he had it running great in June what could I start looking at as a possible reason that it won't start. Changed all 12 plugs.

Did you pull a plug and turn it over and check for fire?On the dash, in the monitoring gauge are the oil level, water flow, lite up green? When you dumped the oil tank, did you pull out the oil level sender? when you turn on the key are you getting any kind of warning buzzer? When i cleaned out my oil tank I hooked up a remote pre-mix tank and ran it for about 20 minutes.Theres a screw on the oil pump you back out a tun or two to bleed out the air in the oil pump. the idle speed is backed all the way down also.

I takes three things to fire the motor. Fuel, Air, and spark. Is you kill switch pulled causing the motor not to spark?? I would pull a spark plug and check for spark. If you get spark, than try squriting a small amount of fuel into the carb, (mix oil with it). You may have a fuel blockage.. Air should not be a problem. It being a carbed motor may have a fuel blockage..Good luck..

kill switch was shorted out I removed it and seperated the green and black wire and it started right up, purrs like a kitten can't wait to change the impeller, the small oil filter and get it out on the water.

Special thanks to Phil Friday of Friday's Marine in Salud, VA four local marina's had no time to talk to me about my motor and have a chance to get me as a client.
He did and I not only solved my starting issue, got great advice and the least I could do is order my parts from him which were very reasonably priced.

Dealers in Md must be taking their cash to the bank in wheelbarrels when they can just throw away business.

I am glad you found Phil. I had questions and was told in the Richmond area to call him. He took his time in answering my questions. When i need repairs it is worth me driving the 1.5 hours to his shop. did some researching, turns out they are the best suzuki dealer within 4 hours drive time. I'm glad you got it running.
